Orla was three yesterday and had a lovely day.
She started off by climbing into bed with me while I sang Happy Birthday to her. She then looked under my pillow for her presents - hee.
We all had breakfast together and Orla opened her pile of presents. She got lots of girlie things - clothes, bags, a hat, a baking set - lots of fun stuff.
After we had taken Ruaridh to nursery we met a friend at the local soft play cafe and she had fun playing with him. Was a bit too busy though .
In the afternoon Orla went to nursery and seemed to have a lovely time. Ruaridh and I made her a cake and put together her main birthday present which had only just arrived. We got her a wooden fold-up cooker and an ice-cream stand. She has been having great fun cooking for us and selling ice-cream in her shop. When Martin was home we had tea and sang Happy Birthday again and she blew out the candles.
Today she had a party too. Just lunch at a cafe in Dunbar with some friends. Was lovely. I took along a bubble machine which was great entertainment for all the kids. I also took the kite which was perfect as it was really windy - although it did get a bit gusty so we had to put it away after a while. All in all a good birthday and party. She fell asleep on the way home - very unlike her - it was all too much.
