La France

Just spent two weeks in France.

Started with a 5 am start to catch the 3pm ferry - made it, through torrential rain, with 10 minutes to spare. Crossing was rough, rough, rough - 2 out of 5 of us vomited. I didn't vomit but did have a vomiter on my lap..... nice.

Arrived in Cherbourg feeling grim, checked into the hotel and showered the ones of us who smelled bad.

Went out for dinner for moules frites - nom, nom, nom.

Next day we drove to our campsite on the Vendee coast. Fantastic location. Kids had a ball the first week. Kids club, swimming, climbing, eating.

Second week we headed East and spent a week in a gite just south of the Loire Valley. Lots of chateaux, food, wine, fun.

All in all a good two weeks. The journey back was very stressful as the kids were sick of being so close to each other in the car. DVD player and Gameboys definitely helped.

Now for some of Martin's photos (thanks hon).
