Decopatching

I've read lots about decopatch - mostly inspired by Lucy over at Attic24 and finally got round to ordering some kits this week. I ordered four kits from The Imagination Workshop.  I decided to go for kits as an easy start.  Each of the kits came in a cute box with instructions, a special brush, glue/varnish, a sheet of paper and a papier mache animal.  I ordered in some extra paper too to give us some choice.

It's half-day today so after lunch we set up the table and launched into them.

Orla chose the dolphin:

Morgan chose the elephant:

Leaving me with the cat.  After about 40 minutes I had finished mine and the kids were about half way through and their interest had waned.  So we cleared them all up and will finish them another day.

I think these kits were brilliant and all three kids were able to tackle it with a little assistance from time to time.  Will definitely be thinking of what else we can decopatch....
